Terms and Conditions


These terms and conditions apply to all the content and services (the “Services”) to which access is provided through the website (the “Website”). Upon use of the Services, the user accepts to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Services are provided by Cyta and include access to Cyta’s Directories Website with the purpose of obtaining information that is listed in the Yellow Pages and Telephone Directory (the “Directories”).


2.1. Where users wish to obtain a listing in any of Cyta’s on line Directories, they should contact the commercial department by email: sales@cytayellowpages.com.cy or call 8000 88 88 or fill the relevant form, which they should complete and return to Cyta. In such a case they will be required to provide some personal information such as their name, address or other details for the purpose of servicing them. Users are obliged to provide true, accurate, updated and complete information regarding themselves and they are bound to keep this information updated.

2.2. If Cyta (including its officers and employees) has reasonable grounds to believe that any information provided is false, inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, Cyta shall have the right to refuse the inclusion of the listing in the relevant Directory without prior notice. 


3.1. Users shall not use the Services to:

a) Transmit or dispose of in any way, any content which is illegal, harmful, harassing, threatening, abusive, fraudulent, defamatory, libellous, pornographic, indecent, which violates privacy or is otherwise improper.
b) Discriminate, undermine or offend a person or a group of persons based on religion, sex, race, nationality, age or inability. 
c) Harm minors in any way. 
d) Send or dispose of in any way content which violates a patent, copyright, trademark, trade name, trade secret or other proprietary rights of any person. 
e) Send and/or distribute any material which was not requested or for which no consent has been given.
f) Illegal collection, use or storing of personal data and/or information.
g) Offend the Constitution or any law or International Convention which are enforceable in the Republic of Cyprus.

3.2. Cyta reserves the right to restrict or suspend a user’s access to the Services in case of any violation of the present clause 3.

Users shall indemnify and keep Cyta, indemnified from all claims, suits or grounds for suits, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses, including legal fees, which may be claimed by third parties and which arise from the infringement of the present Terms and Conditions or the use of the Services. 


Cyta reserves the right at any time and without justification to:

a) Upgrade, modify or temporarily or permanently suspend the Services, or prevent their use, or deny or discontinue access to the Services.
b) Remove any content or material that is placed or stored with the Services for any reason, including but not restricted to the violation of the present terms and conditions. Users shall be informed of any changes to the present terms and conditions.


7.1. Cyta shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damage which is caused by:

a) Τhe use or inability to use the Services.
b) Any goods, data, information or services obtained or accessed via the Services.
c) Unauthorized access or alteration of data.
d) Claims arising from use of the software.
e) Disconnection of the Services.
f) Payments or misdirected payments.

7.2. Cyta is not responsible for any defamation of character or goods or services or any infringement of intellectual property rights or trade names or trademarks or patents or any contempt of a court order or infringement of the rights to privacy of any person or the breach of any contract or civil wrong or for other violation or infringement of a right or committed or attempted via the Services. 

7.3. Cyta shall not be liable for any claims resulting from the automatic, intermediate and temporary storage of information and data for the sole purpose of making more efficient the onward transmission of such information to the recipient of a requested service or for the partial or total loss or misdirection or non transmission of same.

7.4. Listings and advertisements in Cyta’s Directories shall be made according to the information provided to Cyta by customers, according to paragraph 2 above. Cyta is not liable for the accuracy or legitimacy of information provided by users or customers. Cyta bears no responsibility for the accuracy of listings, any inadequacies, listing errors, advertisements or printing errors.

7.5. The purpose of the professional categories in the Directories is to facilitate searches and don’t constitute exact correct professional descriptions. The listing of a business or an individual in a category does not necessarily mean that they provide the products or services suggested by the particular category, not that they are legally or professionally registered to provide such products or services. Cyta does not control if advertisers are registered professionally.

7.6. Cyta makes no warranties of any kind whether express or implied including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose which are hereby expressly disclaimed. In particular, without limitation, Cyta makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free, or that the service will be available at any particular time or location.


The Website, the Services and the software which is linked to the Services and all the material or content constitute Cyta’s intellectual property. The copying, reproduction, disposing of, commercially using or creation of derivative works from the above is hereby prohibited without Cyta’s express and written approval. 


The present terms and conditions are subject to Cyprus Law and any dispute which arises shall be resolved before the Courts of Cyprus.
